ZINAT & BARRY - 2008 AEGIS AWARDS TOP 4 WINNER!

Posted in awards, news, travel

An Impressive Finish | Last year, 3,439 films were entered into judging for the 19th Annual Aegis Awards. Out of 29 wedding category finalists, only 16 received awards, and only 4 of those received a top 25 score among all films in competition. We’re excited to announce that our entry, “Zinat + Barry: Santorini, Greece” placed among the top 2% of all wedding films, with a final score of 90/100! The film also received a 2008 Telly Award for Best Cinematography. Enjoy this full-length excerpt.

ADOBE TO OFFICIALLY SPONSOR PACIFIC PICTURES

Posted in adobe, news

adobe-logo3The Unicorn | I remember the unicorn, adorning one of the biggest & heaviest software mystery boxes I had ever seen more than a decade ago. That was Premiere 5.0, and although opportunities abound to switch to competing platforms, I continually found myself retreating to my faithful Adobe comfort zone. I’ve seen vast improvement in iterations ever since, and can honestly say that Production Premium CS4 offers some of the best features & exclusives to-date across Premiere Pro, Encore, After Effects, and Photoshop. The box sure got smaller, but the ideas certainly didn’t.

Needless to say, when Adobe contacted us offering sponsorship, I couldn’t be more excited. It gives me great pleasure to announce our partnership with Adobe, makers of the new Creative Suite 4 family. We’re thankful for the opportunity to provide their developers and the filmmaking community at large with our most critical feedback for the continued success and growth of our craft.

Stay tuned for the Pacific Pictures-Adobe success story, coming soon to www.Adobe.com.
